Our Facilities
Conveniently located on the corner of Colfax Avenue and Elm Street between the Park Hill and Hale neighborhoods, Dog House Denver opened in 2021. This 6,328 square feet building was originally constructed in the 1930’s as a car dealership and autobody repair shop. Since then, it has been home to many businesses, most recently another dog daycare and boarding facility. Dog House Denver also features two outdoor play yards totaling nearly 1,200 square feet, providing plenty of space for dogs to safely run wild!

Bruce Lambert
Owner
Dog House Denver is owned and operated by Bruce Lambert, a Colorado native and a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver. After spending six years working in the sports industry for the Colorado Rockies and Denver Nuggets, Bruce shifted gears and decided to explore other opportunities when he found a passion in the pet care industry.
Dogs have always been a huge part of Bruce’s life going back to his first best friend, Sappy. Sappy showed him how smart, adventurous, loyal, and perfect these creatures are. Eventually the pack grew and there were never less than three pets in his childhood home. To Bruce, nothing is more rewarding than building a trusting relationship with any animal, but especially dogs. He has always wanted to return the love they’ve shown him and found a wonderful opportunity to do so at a dog daycare and boarding facility in Denver. He spent five years growing to a management position working with both dogs and their owners. During that time, he was educated on K9 CPR, basic grooming, dog body language, and positive reinforcement techniques.
Bruce then went on to work as a Dog Behavior Consultant for a training company based out of the Denver area until he decided to open a new home for Denver dogs and their owners. He currently lives in Denver with his 8-year-old Australian Shepherd, Jeter.

Horses have taught her so much about the importance of friendship, understanding, cooperation, out-of-the-box thinking, and individualized and customizable interactions and training. She incorporates these valuable lessons and philosophies into her approach with dogs and their parents. She also loves teaching tricks, mentally stimulating and challenging dogs (and their people) to help everyone discover that learning and training can be fun!
Before forming ‘Get Sit Done: Dog Walking & Training’, she was a trainer and behaviorist with ‘Noble Beast Dog Training’. Through her work with Noble Beast, she was able to continue to hone and advance her skills by working with all breeds, types, and skill sets of dogs and their pet parents.
My name is Jon Taugher, aka Jet, and my soul belongs dogs. When I was young I was told I couldn’t have one. So, I adopted the neighbors Golden Retriever and at 8yrs old trained Walbash myself. From there, I volunteered at shelters and rescues. Fast forward to a career burnout in 2004 which lead me back to dogs. As a daycare and boarding manager, I climbed the ladder a few places but found it took me away from my soul, dogs! I worked previously for a daycare that was corporately bought out and I felt the quality of care diminished. Feeling like a security guard more than a caregiver, burnout crept around again. Enter Dog House Denver! This is my chance to provide quality, nurturing care to the dogs. To ensure a safe, fun and quality experience for each individual. And of course, to feed my soul, be with my dogs!
My name is Hannah. I have always had a passion for all animals. As I grew up I really fell in love with dogs. Their loyalty and love is something I feel very connected with. I was born and raised in Colorado. I am blessed to be the mother of two beautiful children. I have always found the most joy in life working with kids and animals. I truly feel it is my purpose, to love and protect all that cross my path. Over time I have grown experience through shelters, rescues, and daycares, and plan to train service dogs in the future! I can’t wait to start this new journey at Dog House and build relationships with you and your pups!
